Re-assurance???

Hi ladies, I’m sure you have been reading, reading, reading, or at least I hope so. If you haven’t gotten started, let this be the motivation it takes to get you there. With school starting for our wonderful children, it can seem like a strain to stay focused, but remember that the more they see you read, the more interested they may become in why your choosing to do what they have to do on a daily basis. Another fun thing to do after reading is talking about it. How fun is it to actually break the story down and discuss what it means to you and those you interact with so often. It’s so important for our children and peers to see us interested in reading and communicating and you becoming a lifelong learner as you read and discuss literature and isn’t that what’s best for our children and families to also become life-long learners? I have made it through the required selection as most of you have probably done the same and I’m excited to say the optional selection ties in so perfectly with our first novel. I see both books a great topic of discussion at our quarterly session early next month. So just as a reminder get back on track with reading, remember your dedication to your membership and make those most out of your literary lives! If anyone hasn’t yet picked up the required selection, I have a copy that can be borrowed so contact me to set this up. I’m seeing that the public libraries also carry the novels we’re reading so don’t be a stranger to your local branch. I can truly say if you’ve spent your money or wondering if your money was well spent you haven’t went wrong in this area. If you were unable to attend the launch party in July 2010, don't be alarmed. As an exception to the membership guidelines, all inquiring members and official members will be asked to attend the 1st quarterly session in early October to complete the official membership packet, get informed on all details of the bookclub and officially become a member. So please attend regardless of your status, so you can also reap the benefits of membership.
