I have continued to received wonderful feedback and I'm very excited about our new beginning. A few of you ladies have had the opportunities to become acquainted with one another by now and are loving it.
There has been skepticism as we all know is normal when opening a new chapter of your life and I want to reassure you all that you've made the right decisions. I will be taking the opportunity to have lunch individually or in small groups so we can connect a little bit more in the coming months. We just came off a long haul winter and I haven't had the opportunity to spend as much time as usual with you all. I hope this encourages you to keep participating. Be on the lookout for an approaching date!

As a reminder as I have added a new feature to the web page for easy secure payment of your member dues and/or donations. Currently it is not time to pay any dues, but feel free to donate anytime if you so please. Please understand that the member dues are important to keep our functions and activities going strong. I have found a wonderful location to host our Launch party at and that is all in the works as I speak, thank you all for your suggestions and references of venues. An E-vite will be sent out with all details. Our Launch Party is in late July.
Also because of all the anticipated participation, I am hoping I can lower the cost of your quarterly dues from $15/per quarter. After the launch party a decision will be made on a flat set amount.
For those of you that haven't had the opportunity to view the website(http://chaptersofconversation..com/), let me encourage to do so. The website/blog is an important part of our book club as it contains all important details and information pertaining to our club, it helps with making sure everyone is getting the same information as the next and it also helps with passing along information to interested potential new members. Important links and updates can also be found on the website. Feel free to visit as any times. Once we begin our initial gathering, we will have our own domain.
Another new feature is now present on the website as a Book Shelf (thanks to Shelfari), right now it simply contains a selection of books in our genre, but in the future between sessions it will display a selection of possible next options for the upcoming quarter. I am also trying to incorporate a vote feature in order to determine or downsize our options per quarter. Be prepared for this soon!
Important Links- I will soon be adding important links of websites and other resources that we could all benefit from when trying to purchase books or looking for other resources pertaining to our social lives. There will be links for our members to advertise there products and services on a page of the website also. This will also be present in the coming months.
So the biggest question right now remains: Are we all going to be reading the same book at once, or is there going to a variety of options to chose from as quarterly selections? Now unfortunately just when I thought I had grasp of the whole book club planning, this remains to be an unanswered question. I will continue to look further into this option and once a conclusion has been decided I will report to everyone what that is. Please excuse me for the misunderstanding.
